# `confirmation_required`

**Status 428.** This key must preview the change and send back its confirmation.

## What it means

This key is tagged for an AI assistant, so a points change or a cancel takes two steps, and this request came without the second step's confirmation. A request that repeats a change already made needs none.

## What to do

Send the same request with `?dry_run=true` and show the preview to the person. Then send it again without `dry_run`, with the preview's `confirmation.token` in the `Matrix-Confirmation` header, within 10 minutes. Keep the same `Idempotency-Key` for both.

## Safe to send again?

Not as it is. Change what the answer points to, then send the request.
