# `invalid_image`

**Status 422.** The picture is not one a store can use.

## What it means

The file is not a PNG, JPEG or WebP by its own bytes, is under 16 or over 4,096 pixels on a side, or was sent labelled as another kind of file. SVG is never taken. Nothing was kept.

## What to do

Send a PNG, JPEG or WebP file labelled as what it is, or a picture in your Shopify Files as `source_url`.

## Safe to send again?

Not as it is. Change what the answer points to, then send the request.
