Held from marketing. The Multi-Store Wallet is built and tested. We are holding it back from marketing until two stores have been linked end to end on a live store. Everything on this page describes what the plan does, not a track record.

Multi-Store Wallet · the paid add-on

Link your stores. One balance for your shoppers.

If you run more than one store, the Multi-Store Wallet links them so a shopper earns at any of your stores and spends at any of them, from one balance. Every point still knows which store it came from.

$79 a month after a 14-day free trial, per account. Start on the free plan and add the wallet when a second store needs it.

Held

The Multi-Store Wallet links the stores one merchant runs so their shoppers hold one points balance across all of them. Every point is tagged with the store it was earned at, and a settlement report shows which store owes which. It is priced per account, $79 a month after a 14-day trial.

What the plan does

One balance. Every point tagged with the store that gave it.

Points are money you owe. When several stores share a balance, the wallet keeps the books between them straight from the first point.

One balance across your linked stores

A shopper who buys at any of your linked stores adds to one balance, and can spend it at any of them. They see one number, not one per store.

Every point is tagged with the store it was earned at

Each earn, spend and refund is written down with the store it happened at. A balance is added up from that history every time it is shown, never nudged.

Earned and spent are kept separate per store

What each store gave out and what each store honoured are counted apart, so a settlement between your stores can be priced rather than guessed.

A settlement report on Reports

For any period you choose, Reports shows which store owes which: the points one store gave out that another store honoured, and what that is worth at your point value. The lines net to zero across your stores.

Members pooled across the account

A shopper is one member of your account, keyed on their email, however many of your stores they buy from. Their full history sits in one place, with the store beside each line.

What it does not do yet. Stores are linked from inside each store’s own admin, so both have to be Shopify stores with Matrix Rewards installed. A store belongs to one account, and linking is one-way today — there is no unlink in the app. If you think you might need to undo it, ask us before you link, not after.

How linking works

A one-time code, from one store to the other.

Linking is designed to be done from the app itself, by the person who runs both stores. No support ticket, no import.

As designed and tested. Today each store is a Shopify store with Matrix Rewards installed; the link joins the second store to the first store's account.

  1. 1

On one store’s Home, press “Get a code for this shop”

It shows a one-time code for the store you are in.

  2. 2

Enter the code in the other store

Open Matrix Rewards in your second store and paste the code. That store joins the first store’s account, and the balances are shared from then on.

  3. 3

The code expires, and works once

A code that is unknown, expired, already used, or from a store in the same account is refused. Mint a fresh one if you need it.

  4. 4

Both stores are on the plan once

The Multi-Store Wallet is priced per account, not per store. The second store is not charged twice.

The question everyone asks

What happens to the points you already owe?

They are kept, to the point. A shopper who bought at both stores becomes one member with one balance, and the two histories are joined rather than added up again.

No points are created, removed or changed in value by linking. Linking only changes which member a line of history belongs to; every balance is still counted from those lines. What you owed across both stores the minute before you linked is what you owe the minute after.

A shopper is matched by email, the same key the programme already uses. Someone who shopped at one store only is untouched.

Held from marketing until two stores have been linked end to end on a live store. The App Store listing does not yet describe the wallet for the same reason.

The meter on the free plan counts only orders that earned points. The wallet adds the linking; it does not change how we count.

Where this is going

One home for all your stores, on any platform.

Shopify is the first connector, not the foundation. The two things below are the next build, not the app today.

Planned

A merchant hub, outside any one store’s admin

Your merchant page at app.matrixrewards.co.uk: sign in with a code sent to your store owner's email to find customers across your stores, change points, and download customers and points history. Linking a store, the programme and what each store owes the others are in Matrix Rewards in your Shopify admin.

Planned

The umbrella: points that travel between merchants

The wallet links the stores you own. The umbrella is an opt-in circle of stores owned by different merchants, where a shopper who earned at one can spend at another, with the clearing between merchants handled for you.

Start on the free plan. Add the wallet when a second store needs it.

Installing takes a couple of minutes, and your first store earns on its next paid order. Linking a second store is a one-time code away.
